National Cycling Centre WA

The National Cycling Centre Western Australia promotes the sport of cycling providing a holistic pathway in cycling development for school children through to elite level athletes. Established in 2014 NCCWA have worked closely with local metropolitan clubs to grow junior participation in the sport of cycling.


Community initiatives:

Body Bike Fit:

For girls aged 12-16 years, a track based cycling program with a focus on right, relevance and opportunity. Sport has relevance in my life, it’s our right to be fit and healthy, the opportunity is yours.

iTid Indigenous Talent Identification and Development:

For indigenous boys and girls aged 10-14 years. Looking for the first indigenous cyclist to pull on the green and gold jersey for Australia.

School Holiday, “Introduction to Track Cycling” 2 day sessions.

Junior road cycling and road safety program for U11’s- U19’s, held every Sunday morning.

High Performance:

School Based Talent Identification “Fast Track” Program in conjunction with Western Australian Institute of Sport. Testing round May/June 2017.
