Velocity A23 rims with Shimano 105 hubs

I’ve recently built up another set of Velocity A23 rims with 105 hubs. These wheels are the final installment of wheels I’ve built in preparation for my trip to United Bicycle Institute in Portland next month.  I was very happy with the build. The wheels have the most even spoke tension of any wheels I’d made to date. This time I used black  spokes and included the large Velocity decals to make them look a little more contemporary.  While the wheels are traditional in their materials, spoke count, and lacing pattern, I’m aiming for something that wouldn’t look out-of-place on a modern road bike.  A perfect wheel year-long commuting, training rides, or long Audax rides out into the country.
